Our friend Jeff Poot, from the band Witches With Dicks, suffered a severe brain bleed. He is recovering but has a long road ahead of him. Jeff was once in a band called Mavis Beacon. Jeff was my roommate during this and I remember having a 3 song demo. I was under the impression it was never released, Daniel once heard it as demo from a former band, Harley said it was released as a CD-R that was called "Lisa Needs Braces", and Brandon said he was actually suppose to be in Mavis Beacon. I still had the mp3's so we decided to cover "Track 3" on the demo to raise some money for Jeff. Daniel swears that "Burning The Bridges of Hillsborough County" is the name so we went with that. Some of the lyrics might not be accurate but it was a lot of fun to do. The artwork is Tom Lowell's rendition of a Mavis Beacon T-shirt.
We recorded this at Mystic Valley Studios with Alex-Garcia Rivera.Alex's studio is completely analog to tape, no computers. Alex donated his time and we are very appreciative of him and his studio staff.

lyrics
Are you all done?
Searching for the one
Your idea of living life’s
Not my idea of fun
Maybe if you thought
Or if you really cared
You wouldn’t be the only one
Left outside and unaware
Maybe?
You find out
And you’ll see
You’re too scene
To date me
Once you count the problems
It’s been your faults all along
Tried so hard to point the blame
And can’t admit you’re wrong
Looking in all the places
Try looking at yourself
Burning all your bridges
And you’re left all by yourself

I got into SLS with Schmaltz (specifically Joana, In Five Acts is one of my favourite songs of all time), and when I found that there was a whole album of beautiful acoustics; I immediately grabbed it. This album is beautiful. Never stop making music y'all my_name_is_casa_blanca
